Yesterday I couldn’t post music. Today I have more than made up for it. I have posted my regular type songs, but I have also honored Harry Belafonte and his music. He died today at age 96.

April 25, 2023Earth Day
April 22, 2023Today, Earth Day is widely recognized as the largest secular observance in the world, marked by more than a billion people every year as a day of action to change human behavior and create global, national and local policy changes.
Now, the fight for a clean environment continues with increasing urgency, as the ravages of climate change become more and more apparent every day.
“Earth Day is the first holy day which transcends all national borders, yet preserves all geographical integrities, spans mountains and oceans and time belts, and yet brings people all over the world into one resonating accord, is devoted to the preservation of the harmony in nature and yet draws upon the triumphs of technology, the measurement of time, and instantaneous communication through space.”
Margaret Mead
What’s Happening?
March 16, 2021I am taking the day off because I want to post tomorrow on St. Patrick’s Day. I could post both days I know, but a bit of a back rest day is a great idea, necessary actually. I’ll sit on the couch with a pillow behind my back, drink coffee and eat bonbons! See you tomorrow!
Just In….
December 11, 2020
Two bits of information, the first related to comments. I used to get notified if anyone posted a comment then I’d go read and answer. I am no longer being notified. I checked how to fix it but nothing was wrong as far as the help told me so… now I go online to check for comments. I’m hoping as strangely as it disappeared it might reappear.
The second comment relates to today’s music theme. I was going to ask for guesses, and I know a few of you would have seen the answer right away. As for the rest of you, I’ll help.
I went looking for songs with present/s in the title. I seemed to have used most of them then a new page jumped into the queue. It was about the present prefect tense and classic songs. I took two then went looking for more, and I found two more so here it is, today’s theme: the present perfect tense. Enjoy!!
Music!!
February 18, 2020I’m heading out right now, but I’ll be back in the later afternoon to post the music. Come on back now!
My Computer
December 5, 2019Yesterday I brought my computer to a repair place where the owner is Apple certified. I used my password, and it opened. It started to recharge then stopped. The man rebooted, typed my password, and it was rejected. That confused him a bit. I figured my computer liked my touch. He noticed my wonky keyboard and told me that Apple is fixing the keyboards at no cost. He asked me if I had bought extended service. I said I didn’t remember, but it is something I would do. I did, and my computer is covered until next July. He was going to back up all my data then request a box from Apple for sending it safely. When it was returned, he’d load the data. He guess next week, Friday, for its return.
The iPad will let me copy links, but when I paste, it is the link, not the actual page. Now, here’s what I’m asking: would you click on the link for the song or not? I’m missing my Christmas songs, and until my computer is healed, that is the only way I can post. Please comment and let me know. p>
Music Today!
November 1, 2019I’ll be back to post my selections of the day, but I need to get going to take Gwen to the vets. See you later!
Today’s Music
March 22, 2019These songs may seem to have nothing in common, but they do. They are among the 24 recordings just inducted into the National Recording Registry as “aural treasures worthy of preservation because of their cultural, historic and aesthetic importance to the nation’s recorded sound heritage.”
“It is better to be helpful than harmful.”
February 26, 2018Today is a different day here on Coffee.
I got an e-mail from WordPress that said they have received a DMCA Takedown Notice for material published on my WordPress.com site. Because they at WordPress have received several DMCA notices against my site that have not been countered, they will suspend my site pursuant to the repeat infringer policy in 10 business days unless I submit a valid counter notice as described here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/counter-notice/
http://automattic.com/dmca/dmca-counter-notice/
I have to challenge the notice, counter it, to ensure that I don’t disappear. The notice refers to a song published by me in 2013. The second link is the counter notice and how I must defend my infringing content. I have 5 more days to fill then send the counter notice. I’m not so sure that I have a defense and that would mean the end of Coffee. If any of you has some ideas to help, please post in comments. I’m gasping for breath.
A while back I did start another Coffee in blogger. If you’ve been with me a while, you know I got shut down in Blogger which is why I moved to WordPress. This is a different address for Blogger Coffee than the last one. I haven’t done much to that site yet, but I will in the next fews days.

If you have any ideas, I could use some help!!
Thanks, Kat
