Where the heck is she?

October 16, 2021

I will try to post later this afternoon, Sunday afternoon. I am going to Hyannis for another concert. It is open street on Main Street: no cars allowed. Along the route, a variety of musical groups will be playing. Stores are all open. It will be a fun day.

Lagniappe: Mitch & Mickey – A Kiss At The End Of The Rainbow

July 18, 2021

If you haven’t ever watched A Mighty Wind from which the clip comes, get a copy as quickly as you can, prepare the snacks and don’t forget the popcorn. Every movie needs popcorn.

Even if you don’t like folk music, HORRORS!!, the music in this movie is worth the listen. It is a Christopher Guest movie through and through. I’m thinking watching this clip should get you want want to know more. Why is this song so poignant? Is there a backstory? Hmmmm.

Music? Where’s the Stinking Music?

July 6, 2021

I don’t have time to post the music now. I will post when I get home. Be as patient as you usually are.

She’s At It Again!

March 11, 2021

This morning I have a few errands, two are musts and two are just necessary. I’ll probably not get to coffee until late afternoon. Please check back!!

Waiting On A Friend: The Rolling Stones

Giving Tuesday

December 1, 2020

A bit of a tweak from Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities, “This is the worst of times,” is real and frightening. The lines for boxes of food are endless. Hospitals are again running out of beds, and every new day brings a higher count of the infected and of those who have passed. If we can, we need to help.

Around this time of year, my father always told us that he was grateful for the Salvation Army, and for all they did for him when he was in the service during World War II. My sisters and I never passed a kettle without putting money through the slot. This year there are no kettles so I’ll give on-line. Money is needed now more than any other time.

Please donate somewhere.

Music, Music, Music

I’ll be back in a bit. I hope you will be too.

Music, Music, Music

You’ll just have to wait for the music. I’ll be back soon!

“The Earth is what we all have in common.”

April 21, 2020

Tomorrow is Earth Day. The theme for Earth Day 2020 is climate action.

The first Earth Day was in 1970 so this year’s Earth Day is the 50th anniversary. I checked and many sites are offering Earth Day activities for kids. It is a great way to spend a day: celebrating our Earth, our home, our families.

I posted songs today for tomorrow. I didn’t want to miss Earth Day.

Today’s Music

September 2, 2018

Okay, I admit today’s music is unusual, but it just seemed to fit my mood. I can’t explain it, but my mood is a bit odd. First, I woke up early. That always jars my system. I couldn’t remember which day it is, but a bit of thinking about yesterday gave me enough hints to know it’s Sunday. I had no bread for toast so it was only coffee for breakfast. We all know how important a good breakfast is so I failed breakfast. The Sunday Globe had no Globe Magazine, my favorite read with its crossword puzzle and all. I know the puzzle is in the paper, but it just isn’t the same. I hope this mood doesn’t crossover to baseball and my Sox.

“I’m merely running some errands. This is now off the record.”

July 19, 2018

I hope to sit down and write myself a blog later today, but I’m not sure. I have a bunch of stuff I have to do; however, in keeping with custom, I will give you a quick weather report. Today is perfect. It is a cool morning with no humidity, nothing dripping in the air. Much as I hate doing errands, I don’t mind at all being out and about today.

Talk to you later!!
