Another Hiatus!

June 30, 2023

I have so much to do today I want to get out and do it. If I am back before the afternoon fades, I’ll muse away!

Thanks for your patience as the disembodied voices always say when you are stuck waiting for what seems an endless time on the phone while being forced to listen to horrific music.

“Thus began a break of undetermined length and meaning.”

I’m taking a Coffee break today. Nothing is wrong. All is well, but I have a friend who called about visiting another friend who has been ill. I might have had time to write, but I slept so long it was a mirror under the nose event so I am running late, maybe later.

I’m glad to get out of the house to enjoy the most amazing weather!!

I’m Late, I’m Late

March 3, 2023

I have appointments today so I don’t think I’ll get to a posting until late afternoon. Please return later. I have more stories to tell about Ghana and Peace Corps.

Music: Here you go!!

January 24, 2023

I changed my theme. The first hour had been spend looking for cake songs, which I found out is not a popular theme. I didn’t even give switching a thought until J and his comment when cake gave way to clouds.

I have been looking for about an hour and have yet to find a single song I was looking for to fit my theme which has changed three times so far in my hopes to find post-able videos, not blocked. I am discouraged or maybe it is just the clouds!!

“You know what an illusion is? On this planet, one small cloud has the ability to block the entire sun.”

Judith Durham

August 7, 2022

Judith Durham, the lead singer of The Seekers, died Friday at age 79. Durham joined The Seekers in 1963 when the band released its debut album, “Introducing The Seekers.” They shot to international fame as the first Australian group to achieve mainstream success in the U.S. and U.K. She will be honored at a state funeral. She is the true icon of Australian music.

I know every word of The Seekers’ songs I’ve posted today, and I even sang along. I bought their albums after the first time I heard them. They and she deserved their own posting today.

Enjoy and remember!

Happy Birthday, Bob Dylan!!

Hiatus!!

May 9, 2022

I am running very, very late this morning so Coffee will not be until the afternoon. Of all days for the dogs to let me sleep-in, they chose the one day when I have a couple of appointments. As Arnold said, “I’ll be back.”

Where the heck is she?

October 16, 2021

I will try to post later this afternoon, Sunday afternoon. I am going to Hyannis for another concert. It is open street on Main Street: no cars allowed. Along the route, a variety of musical groups will be playing. Stores are all open. It will be a fun day.

Lagniappe: Mitch & Mickey – A Kiss At The End Of The Rainbow

July 18, 2021

If you haven’t ever watched A Mighty Wind from which the clip comes, get a copy as quickly as you can, prepare the snacks and don’t forget the popcorn. Every movie needs popcorn.

Even if you don’t like folk music, HORRORS!!, the music in this movie is worth the listen. It is a Christopher Guest movie through and through. I’m thinking watching this clip should get you want want to know more. Why is this song so poignant? Is there a backstory? Hmmmm.

Music? Where’s the Stinking Music?

July 6, 2021

I don’t have time to post the music now. I will post when I get home. Be as patient as you usually are.
