I think he is on his way home today. I did see his pictures on Facebook. He broadly smiled I every one of them.

Hi IM6 and Kat,
Jetlagged but back in the wonderful USofA to find Kat’s tribute to 90 years of Pet Clark. As I have repeated many times we share the same birthplace, Epsom Surrey but there is a bit of an age difference
Before Mrs MDH and I left, the BBC ran a tribute to Pet which was primarily clips from various periods. Sadly only 2 songs remained from the Petula Clark show in the 1960s.
they also had the nerve to finish with an appalling disco remix of Downtown.
Watching the clips, it was evident that Pet is an entertainer and as such had no real fit with the movement of the 60s. Her association with Tony Hatch produced Downtown and Dont Sleep in the Subway which moved her to a different level.
Pet is 90. She is totally KTCC worthy.

Welcome home!!
I didn’t remember the Petula Clark Show. I’m surprised it has disappeared as they filmed back then I think. I can’t wrap my head around Pet and disco. I never thought of her as anything but an entertainer. I had great fun looking through all the videos I found on youTube.
Of course, I remember you both shared a birthplace!!
