Great song. I’ve always enjoyed Redbone, but,to me, his campiness approached novelty act status like Martin Mull’s.
Didja ever hear this song done by Geoff Muldaur and Amos Garrett on ‘Pottery Pie’? Their lead-in is also campy, but then Garrett shines singing and great guitar licks….

I love that guitar. I also love his voice. The two of them, Geoff and Maria, were favorites of mine though this is his song.
