Wynette is about as country as they come. Better do a DNA test to see where these bizarre influences are coming from. Davis & Cline had cross-overs, but not the other two.

My parents and one set of grandparents were born in Boston. One of the other set was born there too while my grandfather on my mother’s side was born in New York. Nope, no need for a DNA test-northern all the way through.

Spaceman,
I am a Skeeter fan. It all started with this song.

Oh my gosh, Skeeter is hard core country. Rivaled only by Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn in that vintage.

Spaceman,
I do know many of the songs from these women, including this one. I have no idea how I got to know them except maybe they were crossovers.
