“I haven’t been to sleep for over a year. That’s why I go to bed early. One needs more rest if one doesn’t sleep.”

Maddie and Gracie are fast asleep; however, I am not. It is now almost 5 AM. I have been awake most of the night on and off. These animals are killing me. Maddie howled, but it sounded strange so I got out of bed and checked. She was just fine. By then it was close to one-thirty. I turned off the light and fell asleep. Gracie woke me up by moving around the bed. She was panting. I turned on the light to check on her. She came up to me and leaned against me. I patted her and her stub of a tail wagged, but she was still hovering and leaning. I got worried and decided to go downstairs with Gracie. It was about 3:30. I let her out. When she came in, she wanted a treat. I gave it to her then she got on the couch and went to sleep. She is even snoring. I’m exhausted.

Television is awful in the early morning. Not even Hallmark tempted me with its description of a runaway dog bringing two people together. I also had other choices like Bubble Boy which is not to be confused with The Boy in the Plastic Bubble and Delta Farce which is not to be confused with Delta Force. I must have gone up and down the channel numbers several times before I settled in at On Demand where I could choose the bad movies I wanted to watch.

Well, this paragraph is a continuation. I fell asleep around 6:30 despite how loudly Gracie was snoring. I tossed and turned several times as the couch, where I ended up, wasn’t comfortable. I woke up around 9:30 and hurried to make the coffee. I needed it in sort of a life’s blood kind of way.

Nothing of any import is on my dance card. I may do a bit of unnecessary but fun shopping. I definitely will take a nap.

Today is cloudy though the weather report said partly sunny. I guess I don’t live in the right part.

I slept the entire night for once, Albin didn’tr wake me up even once last night. I’m just as tired though 🙂 I did tell him in not so many words that if he made one single sound again I would let hgim meet his end much earlier than supposed 🙂

Only reruns in the late nights/ early mornings here but at the moment they show Grim just before I leave for work so I’m not complaining too much. On one channel they shgow something called Gilmore girls and if that had been all I could watch I wouldn’t have bothered turning on the tv 🙂

    Have a great day!

I was worried about Gracie so I didn’t threaten her. My reactions to the cat and dog might have something to do with Fern.

Gilmore Girls fan here. I watched the program all the time. It has witty, quick dialogue and some wonderfully quirky characters. Netflix is going to show a short run of new Gilmore Girls, and I can’t wait.

I know that Albin just is bored and wants something to happen 🙂 It’ll be so nice now when the weekend comes so we can take long unleashed walks again 🙂

This Gilmore girls is a new show I think and I think my problem is that I don’t have any sound on that channel, it sort of kills most shows they show 🙂

Puppies have so much energy they need to run and be wild.

Truth be told, I don’t know many men who were Gilmore Girls fans. It wasn’t a soap opera but the main characters were a mother and her daughter.

Poor Maddie…poor you! Kat, the Hallmark movie with the runaway dog that brings two people together is very good. It’s the Christmas Shepherd, starring a German Shepherd, so of course I’m biased. But it’s warm as toast. Love it!

I’m ready for a nap, but my cleaning couple is here so I have to wait until they’re finished.

Gracie wonders why a German shepherd and not a boxer. I don’t have a good answer for her as I am as biased as you are, breed bias!

Dark and rainy here and I wouldn’t mind hibernation but it’s a busy week instead. Our chorus 25th anniversary concerts take place this weekend and I’m part of the planning team. This night owl will sleep next week.
We’ll have great musical guests from the States to sing with us, here are some Good Vibrations sung by them to raise your spirits:

That sounds like fun: the whole concert with the visiting musical guests. 25 years is quite an accomplishment. Longevity isn’t much of a strong suit much anymore.

It is so amazing what wonderful sounds people can make just by using their voices without musical instruments.

Last night I slept like a log, but my wife was up all night and didn’t get to sleep until 0500. I found out about the fiasco which I slept through when I got home this evening. It turned out my 19 year old son came home with a friend around three in the morning and woke up my daughter with loud talking and laughter. My daughter then couldn’t go back to sleep but the cable TV had to be reset. My wife had to figure out how to reset the Uverse box. When I left for work early this morning everyone was fast asleep.

Today was another sunny, windy and warm day with highs in the mid 70s. A cold front is bearing down which will bring rain in the morning and cooler temperatures for the weekend. The average first freeze in Dallas occurs the week of Thanksgiving. It may not get down to freezing but winter is creeping southward.

That meant you were the only one who slept: amazing! Usually I can fall back to sleep if woken up but that doesn’t work with a dog walking all around on the mattress.

It stayed cloudy all It was in the high 50’s which is perfect for this time of the year. My sister in Colorado had her first snow of the year. It wasn’t much, more like a warning from Mother Nature.

It will also be warm next week, nearly 60˚ by Thanksgiving.
