SIXTY TWO it is – how on earth did that happen ? . I have been celebrating by listening to T Rex. responding to rather lovely facebook stuff (im6 was first across the line this morning (with a picture of Pete) and planning dinner out with Mrs MDH. My kids are no longer kids so I will see my daughter and her husband on Sunday to watch the Detroit Lions and will chat with my son and his wife in Orlando.

Heading to Henry Ford High School tomorrow to see big ol’ #72 and his St Lawrence Mustangs take on the baddies from St Joe’s of Lake Orion. Its an 8:30 am kick off so Mrs MDH and I will be on the move early

I got older, each and every day is a joy and I very much appreciate Kat and the Kataholics

      My Dear Hedley,
Your special day just can’t go unnoticed. If I were closer, they’d be balloons and confetti.

Your weekend sound wonderfully filled. Enjoy tonight and everything coming!

Took me a while to find a song for the occasion. I can’t remember whether you like this band or not (I can’t even remember if I like this band or not). Either way, happy birthday from Liam, Noel and me. Here are the lyrics:

Just Getting Older — Oasis (2002)

    It’s nine o’clock
    I’m getting tired
I’m sick of all my records
And the clothes I bought today
    Am I cracking up
    Or just getting older?

    Staying in
    I can’t be bothered
    Making conversation
With the friends that I don’t know
    Am I cracking up
    Or just getting older?

And I bet that this is how life
Turns out when you’re finally grown
And you know if this my life
Sit around all day and I moan

I’m halfway up to the bottom
    Of another bottle
Of my next best favourite friend
    Am I cracking up
    Or just getting older?

    You’re not cracking up
    You’re just getting older
    We’re not cracking up
    We’re just getting older

Kat, of course I sang along. I'm in practice anyway, just back home from chorus rehearsal today. Also rehearsals tomorrow and on Sunday. Busy weekend and bad timing, a free music festival takes place downtown while I'm out of town 🙁

  6. Hedley Says:

As a wise Grandfather once told me – it all goes very fast.

Thank you everyone for the kind thoughts
