O Sacred Head, Now Wounded: Choir of King’s College.
Today’s music is a mixture of Easter music. I hope you enjoy it.
(As for the player, Safari went from no player yesterday to this weird one today. Though it says loading, it will play right away. Firefox had the player yesterday but does not today. It just has a link which will take you to the player on a different page. It’s all a bit strange)

WordPress is still working on the audio problem, they temporarily disabled the flash-player.

Birgit,
Thanks for the information. I figured it was WordPress when I saw that the Firefox player was missing, but I’m glad to know for sure.

Thanks for posting it.
Paul Simon adapted this hymn into “American Tune”. And Bach himself had adapted it from an earlier one.
My blog has a little about both, with youtube clip from Simon & Garfunkel’s Concert in Central Park.

Ted,
I have also posted American Tune at some time, but I had no idea it had been adapted from the Bach. Thanks! I love learning about songs and find it fascinating to know their pedigrees are often quite long and varied.

Kat:
This is actually from Bach’s: St. Matthew Passion, written for Good Friday, not Easter.

Mark,
I figured Good Friday is around Easter so I chose the song. I knew by the title it wasn’t for Easter.
