Homer Simpson quote

Had a genuine fear that KTCC would roll out (sorry) Richard Harris and MacArthur Park for today’s topic

My Dear hedley,
I actually looked all over for cake or cookies songs, but I never did think of MacArthur park nor did it come up in my search. It was one of my mother’s favorite songs!

ok, if your Mum liked it you have to go ahead and do it. I will post something really positive. 🙂

MDH,
Nope, I’ll just think of her and avoid the song!

Well, that does bring up one of my favorite movies that would be perfect for your weekend viewing …Richard Harris and Bo Derek in “Tarzan the Apeman” . Bo spends the entire show jumping in and out of ponds and wrestling a huge python (snake version) and Richard Harris manages to drag out his dying screen to almost twenty minutes in one of the finest pieces of overacting in history.
Maybe KTCC should have a “songs for Mum” day ?

My Dear Hedley,
Sorry but no Bo movie for me! I figure that would be solely for boys’ night!
Richard Harris was best as King Richard and not so bad as Dumbledore.
I love the mum’s day idea!

or even a Mum week or weekend…..you could invite your KTCC family to submit one Mum song and they could post their own memories during the week, and you know that you could be overwhelmed with Manilow Magic, and that is just me. Songs your Mum loved would also precipitate a fun discussion….go for it
Seriously what could be better than Bo, in a pond dealing with a gigantic python ? Something for everyone to enjoy. Your deck party should consider this classic of awful movies. I especially like when Bo is enjoying a good bathe in the ocean and some random Lion comes wandering out and drifts down the beach with genuine bad intentions towards our heroine . Remember seeing this at a little theatre in Rochester and the whole audience was roaring with laughter.

MDH,
I can watch really bad movies-do it all the time, but not a Bo bad movie. All that frolicking would be too much!
I’m in for the mum’s weekend. Maybe no Manilow magic-I know my mother never liked him so I have hopes other mums also displayed good taste.
