Fleet Foxes are one of my favorites. I’ve always enjoyed folk, but hadn’t really taken much interest in it until lately, the last couple of years or so. Used to be Gordon Lightfoot was the man, as I actually met him once. Now, its more to the newbies on the rise. I get emails from a gal at http://www.folkhive.com who runs just where I like to be. She is quite a bit younger and is a bit crude, but she certainly does pick the music I like to listen too. And thats where I’ve run upon Fleet Foxes, Mumford & Sons and lots of others.
Thanks for posting this one, Kat, it really is one of my favorite tunes.
Carl,
I’ve been a Lightfoot fan for ever and have seen in him concert, but, like you, I haven’t been keeping up as much as I should. I do listen to folk radio so I won’t be totally ignorant of the new folk singers.
