My Dear Hedley,
We call tinsel the strands you wrap around the tree. We call the stuff which hangs icicles. If you mean those, we don’t use them any more. The cat used to eat them, and the vet explained she’d need surgery if she ate any more; however, I’ll be only to happy to post harmless pictures!

What is tinsel to an old Brit is icicles to you. We had a long discussion last year on the pleasures of tinsel, and here are two fellows preparing a tree without the goodies. I want to make sure that we have the perfect Kat Christmas so I am suitably rambunctious.

My Dear Hedley,
No more trees without tinsel I promise!
Perhaps they hadn’t yet put the tinsel on yet. When I was a kid, they were always the last touch when decorating the tree.
