9 Comments on “Running, Running From Home: Bert Jansch”
Remember hearing “Running from Home” for the 1st time around 1965/1966 when I was 14/15 years old. I was pretty mixed up at the time and it struck deep with me. A great song.
Nice memories. Bert Jansch was one of the musicians at the ‘Les Cousins’ folk club in Greek Strret, Soho, London. He often did one of the Friday or Saturday all-nighters with others like John Renborn, Davy Graham, Paul Simon and even an aspiring John Martyn. What happened to Moxie the harmonica player?
John,
You’ve named many in my music collection. I had read something about Bert somewhere and figured it was time for a posting of his music. Glad it touched into your memories.

Lynchie,
I have the same strong feelings about some of the songs from the 60’s. It seems they were written just for me.

Pierce,
It is always the guitar I love the most on his songs-can’t fault the voice either though!
