    My wife, Jo. hates this version. I quite like it for it has some originality, though I do like the original. Jo. is a long time devotee of Simon & Garfunkel and that’s that. We used to sing this with her on uke and me on guitar.

      Peter,
      I too am a devotee of Simon and Garfunkel. I had the cassette Bridge Over Troubled Water with me in Ghana. When I went looking for songs I have posted in the past with silence in the title, the number of times I posted S&G’s Sound of Silence was so many I decided to go with this one. I do like it though.
