I saw this film with my pals, aged around 12. It has been a firm favourite since then. The iconic Colonel Bogey is a tune we often whistled or hummed. Sometimes we sang the bawdy lyrics which had no doubt been made up by someone during World War 2.

It is a favorite of mine as well. I was taken to the movies when it came out, my first ever evening movie. I loved this song.
