I’m a big fan of The Who. In 1967 I went to a planned concert. The hall, at a university student venue, was packed. The instruments were on the stage. We waited and waited. Eventually the announcement was made, that Pete Townsend was too drugged up to perform. There was no show that evening. No instruments were destroyed, at least not in public. The irony was the group later released an album named “The Who Live At Leeds”. That no show I attended was at Leeds University!
Peter,
What deception! I wonder where it was actually recorded. That was amazing to me that they admitted he was too drugged to perform. What a disappointment.

I think a gig at Hull was recorded. Live At Hull? The alliteration works better with Live At Leeds.
