Sometimes I think about music that was part of life’s path and Bruce fits that category. I first saw him at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1975, and most recently at the MSG with Mrs MDH. So its been nearly 50 years of not only enjoying the music but going to the shows. Yes he did play Glory Days as part of the encore in New York and continues to be relevant to me.
My “relationship” with Van Morrison has grown stale. I have not bought his recent stream of album releases and although Moving on Skiffle has had good reviews it will have to be awfully cheap for me to return

    My Dear Hedley,
I have known of your Springsteen history and envied you that last concert you saw. I would have expected he’d play Glory Days. I can’t imagine his concert without it.

I remember your being tired of Van Morrison and unhappy with where his music has meandered. It is always too bad, I think, when musicians whose music has always been a part of our lives but is no longer.
