In the good old days, before cell phones or the internet, most commuters got their news while riding public transit via newspapers. My Uncle Sam rode the subway daily and read the New York, World Telegraph and the Sun. The only newspapers left in the big Apple are The Times, The Daily News, and the Post. The Post is a right wing tabloid owned by News Corp. ie. Rupert Murdoch.

I love the papers, even now with the internet. There is something satisfying about holding and reading the paper. Boston still has two papers, the Globe and the Herald.
