I remain mildly amused that I actually saw America in 1971 at the Bangladesh concert at the Oval. they were being promoted by Jeff Dexter who hosted the event and as best as I can tell were limited to 2 or 3 songs and that was it. Of course the day really didnt get going until Rod Stewart and the Faces came on and tore the place down followed by an endless wait for the Who .I left before the end of their set to catch the last train home out of Vauxhall
That was the first live concert I ever saw so maybe I should have paid more attention to America.
MDH,
This is one of those rare coincidences. I actually saw America in concert in Hyannis at a small venue which used to be a summer theater in the round. This was after A Horse with No Name and Sister Golden Hair. They actually had a repertoire of songs.
