My home region when I was a kid, massive air pollution and many kids with lung problems back then. Times have changed, less jobs but our air is better now.

The scene which struck me was the one with all the chimneys dispersing white smoke into the air. I was amazed at the rows of what appeared to be apartment buildings.
I have always lived in small towns. Boston was the closest city when I was a kid. The Boston Harbor and Charles River which flows through Boston were both polluted. No one dared swim for fear of getting some sort of disease.Now, both have been cleaned and Boston Harbor is beautiful as is the Charles. They were massive and expensive projects but so worthwhile.
