What a fabulous pick. Who on earth were Denny Zager and Rick Evans ? The two of them wrote this one hit wonder and never charted again. When Evans passed away it didnt even touch national press.

I went hunting for more information. The two remained friends until Rick Evans died. There was no official announcement of his death in the national media. Zager builds custom guitars:

I can understand after listening to the B Side why this was their only hit. You probably remember it as it was a huge hit here and in England.
