Chelsea Morning: Joni Mitchell

I play this frequently on Coffee. It is from Clouds, one of the cassettes I had with me in Ghana. We played this all the time. I remember my friend Bill saying in his mind’s eye the oranges in the bowl are green, just like the oranges in the market. I always think of that when I hear this song.

Hi Kat, and out of the mists I am slowly starting to emerge. During my recovery I bought Joni’s Archives 2 which is really listenable. The next edition should include For the Roses and Court and Spark so they are starting to move in to my favorite period right through Mingus.

As my focus continues to improve I will drop in to listen to some music and enjoy the favorites of the KTCC family.

Doing great, whole lot better and other good stuff

      My Dear Hedley,
I have missed you a read deal. You are a long time member of the family. I did pictures on Instagram (?) so I knew you were doing okay, but I was worried as you were gone so long. I have the first of Joni’s Archives but haven’t had the money to buy 2. I hope there will be some left in the next few months as I really want to get it.

Please drop in as I have found myself wondering if MDH would like the music I’ve been posting. I am so happy you’re doing much better.

      Welcome Home!

Hi Kat. I posted some pictures so that folks like you knew that I had not exited. As you know I had chosen not to make public that I had an issue with challenges ahead.

If I have a reflection on what happened it would be get regular check ups. The pandemic interfered with a routine of my medical reviews and I got extremely lucky it was found before I got “knocked down”

        MDH,
I joke about my stable of doctors, but I will be 75 this summer so I visit the various doctors with only a few grumbles.

Clouds is one of my favorite albums. And this is my favorite song. Glad to have Hedley back. I wondered what had happened.

    • Hedley Says:

Thanks Bob, it took about 10 weeks of very skilled medical care and a bunch of rehab, which continues for a while

It is my favorite for the memories and sentiment the songs bring to mind.
