Sad News

Before I posted my music for today, I went up for my afternoon visit to the cats. Gwen was lying on the floor and having trouble breathing. I put her right into the crate and called the vets. We immediately went over. Gwen passed away before we got to the vets. I heard her. I knew. When I got to the vets, I opened the crate to give her some lovings and to say goodbye. I brought her inside. They came to tell me what I already knew. The vets thought it was her heart by the symptoms. I’m having her paw print saved. I thought I’d put it on my aunt’s grave. She loved her babies.

RIP Gwen. Placing her paw print on your aunt’s grave is a fitting gesture. Sorry for your loss.

I’m so sorry. At least she didn’t have to suffer for too long. Keeping a paw print to remember sounds like a nice idea. Let’s think there is a cat heaven somewhere.

Yes, she didn’t suffer for long except she did have the diabetes though it was under control.

The quickness of it was one of the reasons the vet thought it was her heart.

      Poor baby!

    Dear Kat,
I am so sorry. I don’t even know what to say. I agree leaving the paw print is a fine idea– one of love. I never have the “right” words. Condolences to both of you. Much Love,
    Lori

      Thanks, Lori
I feel so bad. I worry about Jack. Gwen has been with him his whole life.

      Poor baby, Gwen.

    Kat,
I know pets grieve also. Somehow I think Gwen knew what was going to happen. I’m sad for Gwen that her mom died, and now her brother. She has your kindness and love. I do believe that cats do mourn, and somehow are able to accept. Sending light to Gwen, to help her, and again, my deepest condolences to you.
    Love,
    Lori and Cookie

      Lori,
Gwen’s brother is Jack, and he is still just fine. I will give poor Jack tons of hugs . He and Gwen have been together since they were born. Poor Jack.

I hope I was a good second mother to them both.

    Quick is best, Kat.
    But you know that already.
Can you tell if Jack is missing her?

    • katry Says:

      Tracy,
Jack is meowing more. He comes down the stairs and waits for his loving. I sit with him and pat and brush him. Poor Jack. Gwen and he have been together since they were born.

Do you have a pic you could post of Qwen?
        Or Jack?
        Would love to see them.

    I’m so sorry!

I like the idea of putting her paw print on the grave.

    Christer.

    • katry Says:

      Christer,
      Thanks!
I figured my aunt had them most of their lives so far so Gwen and she can be together.
