An interesting, slightly odd version, especially contrasted with the Nat King Cole you’ve posted on another occasion. Looks like Mr. Jeffries was slightly odd too.
I always go through Coffee to see the last time and how often a song or singer is posted. Nat King Cole had already seen his share of Coffee with this song so I went hunting and found Herb Jeffries. I hadn’t ever heard of him, but I was struck by his deep voice.
