Like you, I know most of these. I mentioned the list to my friend. I gave her Yummy, Yummy, Yummy as an example, and we both sang along; however, neither one of us remembered The Ohio Express. There are some great songs here, but some of the songs have disappeared. They didn’t have legs.

I hear many of these songs on the radio still, an oldies station. MACARTHUR PARK?

I try to avoid oldies; I’ve lived thru 60 years of recordings, and now I still I like finding/hearing contemp music of all sorts.
Said The Gramaphone’s Jeff [https://www.saidthegramophone.com/] just led me to Taqbir, who I’ll keep an ear and an eye out for…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBK13X05ND4

I listen to a really neat variety of radio stations. One has no commercials nor does it on air fund raise. It is from Maine but has a cape station. It plays every sort of popular music even some from the 40’s and 50’s. When I have a long drive, I prefer NPR. I need to listen which keeps me from tiring. If no NPR, I’ll scan hoping for a local station. My favorite one I’ve found gave grain prices, round-up information and the times of local dances. I was disappointed when I drove out of range.

I listen for a while to Taqbir. Maybe I need to give it more time, but I wasn’t smitten.

    Kat,
I was surprised I could pick up that radio station. I only recognize about 8 from the above list. I’ve always disliked MACARTHUR PARK!
I think it’s about time for my first nap. Woof to the puppies, and Meow to the Cats.

      Lori,
I find it easier to listen on line to radio stations They do come in far clearer. MacArthur Park is the strangest song.

The pups are elsewhere in the house. I think Nala is upstairs bothering the cats as I can hear her. Henry is with me.
