Each of them are really good. Together they are unbeatable. The back-up band is great, too. Is that the Carnival Band?
Seems like a variation on “The Nightingale” (GB) or “The Wild Rippling Water” (US). But here the tables have been beautifully turned by Maddy & June.

Mark,
It isn’t the Carnival Band. The album on which this song appears is from Silly Sister, a 1976 album. I looked up the Carnival Band and it wasn’t founded until 1983. I checked but didn’t find any musicians in common with this album and the band.

I had to do the research. I don’t like unanswered questions. Besides, I learn a bunch when I look up the artists and the songs.
