I dont think that Mars Bars was on the original Undertones album but was the B side of one of their singles. It did show up on later CD versions with expanded tracks.
there were only 4 albums from the boys from Derry, and each were wonderful in their own way.
Big fan and love this pick to kick off the week Kat
Those Mars Bars look like the Canadian variety, which are different from the American variety. In Canada a Mars Bar is like a milky Way without the nugget. While an American Mars Bar is like a Three Musketeer Bar with Almonds.
I found out a bit more about Mars bars as you set me off hunting.
“Mars, commonly known as Mars Bar, is the name of two varieties of chocolate bar produced by Mars, Incorporated. It was first manufactured in 1932 in Slough, England by Forrest Mars, Sr. In its British version the bar consists of caramel and nougat coated with milk chocolate. An American version of the Mars Bar was produced which had nougat and toasted almonds covered in milk chocolate; later, caramel was added to the recipe as well. The American version was discontinued in 2002, then revived in a slightly different form the following year under the name Snickers Almond.
I remembered Mars Bars had caramel which is why I did the hunting.

My Dear Hedley,
I had a feeling this would be a song for Hedley. There was just something about it.
It is a good thing to start Coffee off with a favorite.
