    When I was six I had a sled just like the ones pictured. We moved to Texas and I think we misplaced it because I don’t remember getting snow here in the 1950s.

      I think we all had that sort of sled. I did. When it came out of the cellar for the first snow sledding, the metal left rust spots then they disappeared, cleaned by the snow.
