Thank you for finding and posting this. He’s completely new to me, but he’s been around for ages and has a huge assortment of albums for me to explore. He reminds me of someone whose name i can’t quite put my finger on right now (I have 2 or 3 of that person’s LPs, but they’re boxed up, so i can’t investigate. Ironically, I think his name is Turner as well). Anyway, I really really like the guy, his voice and particularly the arrangement and backup on this song. Guess I know what I’ll be doing the next couple of days.
im6,
I am always glad when you find someone new here, a thanks for all the music you’ve introduced to me. I wish I could help you remember whose voice comes to mind when you hear his. I’m quite bad at that.
“See, a good way to spend your Sunday!!” ……. well, I can see we both suffer from the same ‘What Day Is This?’ condition (since tomorrow is Saturday). Time was a bit iffy for me post retirement before the pandemic, but it’s really gotten bad over the past year. The other morning i got the garbage can to the curb for pickup only to realize a little later that I was a day early. Each day is so much like all the others and with no routine, it’s easy to understand how I feel like I’m living in The Twilight Zone. I’ve been pretty much self-quarantining for nearly a year now. The upside is that it keeps me on budget (I’m not much for online shopping and i hate to give Jeff Bezos any more money — like he needs it). Hope you enjoy whatever day you think it is!
I have been shopping on line, much shopping on line. I always get the guys’ shirts after Christmas as they are half price. I bought ornaments and small gifts I give traditionally every year.
Any dates I have to remember are written on my desk( table) calendar. I have a “Don’t forget tomorrow, ” reminder for things like the dentist. Other than that most days don’t matter. I just do what I want.
I’ve also been by myself for almost a year. Some days I feel it while other days I don’t mind. I have been busy when I wanted. That’s enough.
