“My maid never sweeps under the bed so I asked her to do so today. Found a pen, three pairs of shoes and the man I had lost two years ago.”

The furnace man came with the new part, an inducer motor. After it was installed, I couldn’t believe how quiet the furnace had become. I think it had been getting nosier but not so much I noticed until it wasn’t noisy any more.

I didn’t do anything yesterday, but I do have small, small (as they say in Ghana) things to do and a couple of places to go today. In front of me on the table is my checkbook which needs to be checked with my account. Yesterday’s mail hasn’t been opened, and it too is on the table, in line to be opened. I brought a cookbook in here, one I haven’t looked through for a while: Mma Ramotswe’s Cookbook. It is part of my collection of cookbooks from novels, ones like The Little Women Cookbook: Tempting Recipes from the March Sisters and Their Friends and Family which is my newest one. Others of my cookbooks include Anne of Green Gables and Game of Thrones.

The last pieces on the table are miniature figures from Peter Pan. They were sort of stored or at least kept together on the top of a wax candle and all were covered in dust. I was in a bored mood and cleaned everything. I don’t remember how long ago I bought these figures and anything else about them except their names are in French. I’m going to put them on the shelf my sister gave me for Christmas. It is in the kitchen.

I have found the perfect places for all of my amazing and unique Christmas presents. That took a while as I carried them from room to room and wall to wall. My newest Bolga basket is on the old blue chair with the painted moons, the corner chair in the living room. The dye free grass of the basket is framed by the deep blue of the chair behind the seat on which the basket sits. I love the way they look look together, the basket and the chair.

My fruits and veggies arrived yesterday as did the most wonderful cinnamon bread, all from Improper Foods. I so love that bread. It was out the last I ordered so I’ve been waiting a month. The bread is sitting on the counter. I’m going to have a toasted slice with my coffee in a few minutes. The toast gets crispy on the edges while the cinnamon melts on the inside. I think it is ideal.

Last night I watched Giant from the Unknown, a black and white science fiction-horror movie from 1958. For all you B science fiction fans, this is right up your alley so to speak!

Well, I have to finish here and go to bed as it is nearly two. I ended up dusting the shelves in my den and taking collections like my snow globes off the shelves one at a time then cleaning where they had been placed then cleaning them, all one a time. I worked my way around the room. I only have a couple of boxes left. As for my errands, they’ll have to be in the afternoon. I’m really tired, housecleaning does that to me.

I was surprised to see that You had written already when I browsed the net at work early this morning 🙂

Nasty cold here today, I don’t mind it being cold to be honest but it is the wind that makes it almost impossible to stay outside for more than a minute or so.

I’ll do my shopping tomorrow, I do hope they have gotten persimmons now, it is one of my favorite fruits but for some reason the stroe can’t order any because there are none to order. I wonder if it is because of the virus? Then again all other fruits are possible to get. I can’t figure out whet I’ll have for dinner at work next week. If I can’t figure anything out I’ll buy one of their roasted chickens, chicken is never wwrong 🙂

    Have a great day!

      Hi Christer,
I didn’t go to bed until after 3 am. It was just one of those nights I wasn’t tired so I decided to post. There wasn’t a whole lot to watch on TV.

The day was actually warmish but I can feel the cold coming as soon as the sun dips. It is definitely winter at night.

I don’t think I have ever eaten a persimmon. I know the reds were in a dish but I don’t remember what. My store sells just the seeds.

Chicken is a universal good dinner. I just bought the stuff for a chicken salad, one of my favorite sandwiches. After I made the first spatchcock chicken, I’ll make it again.

      Have a great night!

    Hi Kat,

Today is sunny again with a high temperature of 64° but windy. I have never gotten in a cleaning mode. When I was single I had a maid who came once every couple of weeks. When I got married, my wife fired her. IDK why, my maid wasn’t that good looking. 🙂

I have become very dissatisfied with the programming selections on Cable TV. We bought a few Rokus when they were on sale and we watch Netflix, Hulu and some other streaming services. I think there’s a TV antenna in the attic and when Covid is over, I’m thinking about cutting the cord to the cable. I’ve Never been up in the attic. Then, I would have someone come in and wire the TVs to the antenna. I enjoy watching the local news and a few programs on network TV such as. Football games. Of course I will keep the high speed internet service. I’ve been very surprised that our Spectrum TV and Internet has been rock solid reliable.

I was also surprised to find your posting when I got up for work this morning. What made you decide to post before going to bed? By the time bedtime rolls around my brain is too numb to write anything. 🙂

      Hi Bob,
I have my cleaning couple come every two weeks. The only time I didn’t have a house cleaner was when I first bought my house and couldn’t afford cleanings. Besides, I had so little furniture nothing was dusty. As soon as I could, I hired my former cleaner who retired then Lee and Roseana. They have been cleaning for 14 years for me.

I watch TV a lot like MSNBC, CNN, PBS and the regular networks. My streaming channels include Netflix and a few others which I also watch. I want Disney+ but my cable doesn’t offer it so I’d have to watch it on my computer.

I wasn’t at all tired, and I was hunting on line for some different recipes when I noticed it was after 1 am. I decided I might as well write Coffee as I wasn’t at all sleepy and was somewhat alert.
