David Baldacci quote

This photo reminded my of one of my favorite “Twilight Zone” episodes. The one where th every myoptic man who reads incessantly which drives his wife nuts. During his lunch hour at the bank where he works he locks himself into the vault to read. Then a nuclear attack occurs and he’s the only survivor. He then surrounds himself with piles and piles of books before he breaks his glasses.:-(

I remember him in the rubble.
“Witness Mr. Henry Bemis, a charter member in the fraternity of dreamers. A bookish little man whose passion is the printed page, but who is conspired against by a bank president and a wife and a world full of tongue-cluckers and the unrelenting hands of a clock. But in just a moment, Mr. Bemis will enter a world without bank presidents or wives or clocks or anything else. He’ll have a world all to himself… without anyone.”

Kat,
It feels like we are living in the twilight zone.. it is sort of what part of my house is like. I dusted all the bookshelves in the living space, and many are on the floor– as I’m trying to decide what might sell, what certain friends would like, and what goes to the thrift store. I go in there and pick up a book I’d forgotten, and begin reading.
My bedroom, is a little bit more orderly. But cat hair, litter dust and dust mites are not kind to books.
And now, after taking a nap, I have dinner ready, and a book to put me to sleep.
Take Care,
Lori and Ms. Cookie

Hi Lori and Cookie,
I reloaded My Little Library. It surprised me how many books have been taken but then I remembered libraries aren’t as easy to maneuver. With mine, you can read the descriptions and decided if you want to read the book or not. Libraries are basically closed unless you know the book and the author you want.
The books in my bedroom are probably harboring disease!! The cat stuff is in the guest bedroom which is now a bit dusty.
I just had dinner so now I’m going to work a few Facebooks apps and watch TV.
