In the 60’s he was a big star here too but like many other foreign singers back than she only got a chance when singing in German. Fortunately times changed.
She had a tough second half of her career. She was the victim of a sexual assault and didn’t perform for a long while after that. She did draw audiences for her concerts all the way through.
