Kate Chopin quote

When I see a photo like this one I realize that little boys didn’t wear long trousers until they became an adult before WWII. They wore knickers and knee socks. Also, the traditional baseball uniform reminds us that it’s really a kids game. Watching baseball, hockey and basketball all at the same time is strange enough but without fans is really weird.

I have gone from station to station watching the Celts win into the next round while also watching the Sox finally win a game. Baseball without people is the worst with a whole park of empty seats.
My father wore knickers. There were some pictures of him when he was around 10. Those original uniforms were made of wool and had to be awful on really hot afternoons.
