CLIFF !!! Have a gigantic soft spot for Cliff. Never seen a show although I did see him in a gas station in Weybridge driving a care with the licence plate MOVE 1T or was it MOV 1T – you get the general idea, anyways it was Cliff

His movie Summer Holiday was a masterpiece and frankly it doesn’t matter how many times I hear “The Young Ones” I still totally love the song. Cliff was a huge star on BBC TV and carried a number of variety shows for many years introducing us to the likes of Olivia Newton John

Cliff went through hell for a couple of years when he was falsely accused on molestation at Bramall Lane during a Billy Graham event in 1985. An accusation so preposterous and yet it gave the South Yorkshire police the opportunity to raid his Surrey home while he was away and invite the stupid BBC to televise the whole thing. It took years, Cliff was, of course, exonerated and the stupid Police and even more stupid BBC are paying large sums in damages.

So its Cliff and the Shads – love them, huge part of my musical young Hedley and I hope you don’t mind me dropping this.

Thank you, My Dear Hedley. I have made the correction. I, of course, never mind you posting a video.

I actually remember this song though I don’t think I ever saw the movie Summer Holiday. Cliff has that same look so popular with the likes of Frankie Avalon and his teenage fans.

It is horrifying that he was the victim of a false molestation charge. I find it unbelievable that the BBC was invited to film it. That sounds as if the South Yorkshire police was hyped on getting publicity. They deserved to pay.
