Not the usual “country music” song. Nice appropriate find!

Birgit,
I was happy to find this as different as it is but with the best sentiment.

Hailing from Fort Payne. In terms of songs and total sales, the most successful country bands ever. More mainstream than most country – hard to not like Alabama.

I agree, Spaceman. They just don’t have the sound I aways tag on country.

Alabama is definitely country. But they pitch to both older (more traditional) and younger (more rockish) fans. The result is likable songs with a wide appeal, which accounts for their success. And they don’t come across as big stars and celebrities in person.

Spaceman,
I figure you described me: older though fan would be a stretch. I do like their music.
