“How did it get so late so soon?”

Coffee will be late today.

It is cloudy and cold so I slept in to avoid the day. What I forgot is I have early PT so I only get to read one paper and drink one cup of coffee before I leave. I have not enough time for musing.

After PT, I have to do yesterday’s errands because it rained so hard I didn’t leave the house. Coffee today will be an afternoon affair so dress appropriately!

This was a fun song to hear. I love the music!

“Pour me another cup of coffee, for it is the finest in the land.”

There’s a truck stop about half way to Nashville from here with a family sort of restaurant/quick stop, showers and such, but not a big overnight type truck place. On more than 1 occasion I’ve stopped to get gas and just sat for a half hour on the wooden chairs at the restaurant entrance watching people enter and leave. A regular cross section of America wanders in and and out. Truckers, redneck boys, guys with ties, families, young, old, you – name it. And they all nod and say hi, or stop to chat a moment. I find it quite relaxing. Nashville will be packed this week – CMA awards

        Spaceman,
I would love to loiter over coffee at a place like you described. Watching people is a wonderful way to pass the time.

I stop at any diners I see. I love meatloaf, and it is always on the menu. The only exception is breakfast. Diners have the best eggs and bacon. My town had one, and I mourned when it was torn down and replaced by a hardware store.

The Cape will soon follow suit and be packed.

Truck driving songs are a country staple. This one is sentimental

      Spaceman,
I love the title of this song. I actually know Kathy Mattea and have posted her here on Coffee.

That they’ll buy a Winnebago to find America and to light the old flame is definitely romantic,
