Cowgirls Prayer was the last straight out country album, Emmylou moved on to a different approach initially under the production of Daniel Lanois, and it’s arguable that Wrecking Ball is her masterpiece

My Dear Hedley,
I don’t have nor have I heard the songs from Wrecking Ball. I do know and have heard most of Cowgirls Prayer. How did it all change?
