“Now Autumn’s fire burns slowly along the woods and day by day the dead leaves fall and melt.”
Some mornings I’m Cinderella with singing bluebirds flying around bringing me a ribbon for my hair, tying on my apron and helping me do chores. Today was not one of those days. The house was cold as it was down to the 40’s last night. I put my sweatshirt on, took Gracie outside, picked up the papers and went back into the house. I noticed the middle cushion on the couch looked wet. I checked and saw Gracie had gotten sick during the night. I slept right through it. I cleaned it up off the floor and washed the pillow which bore the brunt of Gracie’s discomfort. I hadn’t even had my coffee yet.
The best find of the day was seeing that the second season of Stranger Things has been released on Netflix so I am watching the first episode. This makes up a bit for the morning even though I’m not seeing bluebirds.
I have a new coffee maker so I had to read the instructions before I could make my coffee. They were easy to read and accomplish, but I do have a complaint. According to the measurements on the side of the carafe, I was making 12 cups. After filling my first cup, I was down to a little lower than 10 and with the second cup down to below 8 cups. The only thing I can figure is I should be using demitasse cups. Who drinks coffee from tiny cups?
One white flower is left in the garden. The cold nights are taking their toll. Winter is getting closer. My sister in Colorado had 80˚ weather a few days ago. Last night was supposed to be around 18˚. She had some snow flurries in the afternoon.
The sun is bright today and is framed in a deep blue sky. It’s a pretty day with a breeze strong enough to sway a few branches and knock off more leaves. The oak tree leaves are the first to succumb to the breeze. Many are brown and dead. I figure they are Mother Nature’s metaphors for the changing season.

Italians and French people drink coffee in small cups and I think they must use them as the standard when it comes to how many cups they show on the machine 🙂 🙂 🙂 We Swedes drink loads of coffee in big cups so it never shows right (Only the Finns drink more coffee than us Swedes in the world).
I can’t say any mornings are like that here but I did start to think of Family Guy and the episode when Stewie and Brian travels between different universes and at one point ends up in a Disney universe. I sometimes wake up with the song “It’s a wonderful day for pie” in my head 🙂 🙂
It was actually quite nice weather here today even if the sun just almost shone through the clouds but there was no wind and it was fairly warm so the walk after work was really pleasant. Tomorrow they say we’ll get sunshine so I guess it’ll rain all day 🙂 🙂
Have a great day!

Christer,
We Americans drink coffee in regular size cups so I think the coffee makers should oblige us. I found this breakdown of coffee drinking countries and the poor Swedes have slipped.

That’s funny-the song you sometimes wake up and hear.
Today was a bit chilly but not cold. The sun shined the whole day. I only went out to do one errand. It was a good day to stay home.
I’m watching season 2 of Stranger Things on Netflix. It is even better than season 1.
Have a great evening!

So we are now on fifth place! Well it is rather close between Norway, Denmark and us 🙂
I haven’t seen season one of Stranger things, I don’t have that channel and it’s too popular to come to the one where these usually are shown, at least for a few more years. I have been thinking of buying it on dvd though.

Christer,
Given the amount of coffee I drink, you’d think the US would be higher. Fifth is a few cups away from first.
I think you would really like Stranger Things. The first season was really good so I was surprised that they even did better in the second season. I think this will be the end as it was originally one season but fans wanted more so they wrote this season. I watched all 9 hours today.
