What a wonderful song, It was written for the jet age which began in 1958 with the Boeing 707 inaugural jet service by Pan Am from NY’s Idlewald airport to London’s Hethrow airport.

Back then plane travel meant dressing up for the flight. The planes weren’t always filled, the food wasn’t half bad and you could always find a place to sleep in the back.
I missed that sort of travel.
