I used to see Anita a lot “backstage” at the Pistons games at The Palace. Not to say hello to mind and often she was with my chum Rayford who would always abandon her and bounce over to say Hi.
Mrs MDH and I were unlucky enough to see Ms Baker at Pine Knob at the time of “Sweet Love”. She and the band were seriously out of step and she freely chastised them. Around the one hour mark she had had enough and left.

I wouldn’t have recognized Anita. Her voice I know.
I think it is saddest when a remarkable singer becomes a shadow of his or her former self or takes herself too seriously.
