Oh, another train strike? No, I know, just kidding…

I still can’t believe it but it looks like I’m going to see and hear Judy Collins live tomorrow for the first time in my life.
THE Judy Collins, the original legendary famous folk-icon Judy Collins of listening for hours to her records and studying her songbook back and forth and not to forget of Ghana-tape fame Judy Collins!!!
Given her age I never thought that this would happen anymore. The venue in the neighboring town isn’t bigger than a living room and tickets are just 10€. Too good to be true ??? Tickets are booked, we’ll see…

      Birgit,
I loved the concerts I’ve seen. Recently she was in the town where I grew up, but I couldn’t go to the concert. I was bummed as I really wanted to see and hear her again.

It was Wildflowers which I had with me. I can still hear her singing Michael from Mountains. Have a wonderful evening!

It was a wonderful concert and it’s amazing how clear her voice still is. Some classics (Both Sides Now, Someday Soon, Who Knows Where The Time Goes, Send In The Clowns), a little bit of her new CD and talking. It was just a short concert, she was late due to our usual traffic jams but we’ve had 1st row seats and afterwards she signed my old songbook.
If you get any chance to see and hear her again do it. I hope she’s okay, it was scary how skinny she is now.

        Birgit,
I don’t remember the skinny part when I last saw her. I too hope she is okay.

Her voice has lost little over the years. I will always love those songs of hers. I’d add Sisters of Mercy to my list of favorites.
