Speaking of music, can someone please invent teleportation until Saturday? You should be here, not only kelewele but also Ghanaian Highlife star Pat Thomas & Kwashibu Area Band. I just read that he is the headliner of our free International Festival this weekend. It will be fun!
This song from Boner and his chums made me as mad as a hornet –
Of course, if one puts such things in to Google up comes some KTCC action from September 28 2012
“Daniel Lanois, Eno and my boyhood friend Steve Lillywhite all get production credits for this,
I always thought that this was an absolute and total steal of “Mr E’s Beautiful Blues” from The Eels “Daisies of the Galaxy” , but its U2 and they can do no wrong….right ?
My Dear Hedley,
As I am not so aware of The Eels other than a song or two I wouldn’t know this. Now I will listen to that song to hear the similarities.
U2 wrong?

All Bono’d out, enough of the whole thing and here is the real thing – the “hidden” track from Daisys……this is the song that got me focused on the very wonderful Mr E and his songs”
The years go by, nothing changes and I have no original thought
MDH,
Your past is filled with music of which I am totally ignorant. Luckily you have shared some with me, and, for the most part, I’m liking the music you send. You do usually choose well.
At least share Mr. E’s song so people can decide for themselves. It should come as no surprise, on a scare of 1 to 10, to me, Eels rate at least a nine; Mr. Hewson rates about a three. It used to be higher, but the number decreases in direct correlation to Paul David’s opinion of himself. Oh, I know he tries to/does good humanitarian things, but something about him just chaps my _____.

Birgit,
Here I was thinking how clever a band name it is.
I would be there! I’d be eating my kelewele and listening to high life, one of my favorites sorts of music.

Thank you, MDH
Great song! This is the album I heard first, my introduction to the Eels.
