“When the sun is shining I can do anything; no mountain is too high, no trouble too difficult to overcome.”

Run for your lives! Find a place to hide! Shield your eyes or you’ll go blind. Okay, I admit to a bit of exaggeration here, especially the going blind part, but I was raised on B science fiction movies and the warnings just came naturally because we have sun today for the first time in months, okay another exaggeration, but it has been a week or more since it was last here, and every day in that week it rained. This is my Noah I think I see a bird moment. I can see blue sky and the sun though it does pop in and out of the clouds, but I’ll take it anyway it comes. Today is warm. All the chilly dampness is gone. I am so stoked about going outside and not getting wet. The bird feeders are empty and need my attention. Any water in pots and on furniture covers has to be dumped so the deck can dry. I know I have sunglasses somewhere.

I have seen cartoons of me, not really me, but a perfect representation of me. I don’t have a pill box. I have a pill suitcase. With the number of containers you’d think I was a pharmaceutical rep, but no, they’re all mine. Most are preventative, but it doesn’t matter. The containers number in the teens. Now I need a cane or a walker to complete the picture. I can see myself wearing a chenille robe while bending over to use a walker to move a few inches at a time. That sound is my slippers making a scuffing noise as I walk.

I am in a whimsical mood brought about, I believe, by the return visit of the sun. I feel light and airy, a bit like Scrooge on Christmas morning when he found out the spirits had done it all in one night. I had become glum from all that rain, but the darkness has disappeared. I’m going into the light!

Sunny and even warmer today and the cooler wetaher they said would come tomorrow will wait another day. It’ll be warm until Friday though and then it will drop dramatically to Saturday and Sunday and rian will come too. I haven’t seen the movies I bought earlier soi I think the bad weather will be a good excuse to finally do it 🙂

    Have a great day!

    Christer.

      Christer,
Today here is a delight. It is sunny and warm. I don’t know how long it will last but at least we had today.

Bad weather is perfect for movie watching!

      Have a great day!!

And so Radiohead delivered “A Moon Shaped Pool” as a download. The physical copy will not be available until June 17th. I wandered in to iTunes,, gave them my $10, and then dumped it on to every device that I could find. Its accessible, melodic and lyrically unsettling.

Some company called Chronopost were charged with delivering my footie tickets for Paris – They dumped the envelope with $2,000 of tickets on the front porch no signature necessary !!!!

      My Dear Hedley,
I like some and don’t like others of theirs. I’ll have to hunt for the download.

I wish I lived near and had known. I’d have held them for ransom! FedEx does the same thing even if you’re home. My front door was open, and he left it on the steps.

    Hi Kat,
I spent yesterday sorting yarn, putting each skein in the appropriate storage box according to its weight. I duly noted which skeins went into which box on the spread sheets I have in my computer.
The sun has returned to save my sanity. There is still yarn to sort but the psychic pressure to do so has gone.

Today was beautiful. I took the dogs for walks. I went to the craft store and the grocery store. I cleaned the dog yard. I considered mowing that one small area of overacheiving grass but I gave it a pass. Too much like sorting yarn. 🙂

    Enjoy the day.

      Hi Caryn,
Wow, spread sheets even: I am impressed.

Today here was also beautiful and warm. I was out on the deck for a while and got all the feeders filled and dropped a pile on the deck. I tried to clear them up, but I figured the doves and the squirrels would help themselves.

My landscaper is not happy with my grass. It has empty spots and brown ones. He is going to figure out what to do to save it. I hope he does.

A meeting and an appointment tomorrow are on the schedule. I hope it is a lovely day like today so I’d be happy to be out and about.

      Enjoy the sun!

Last night it stormed but ended by the time I drove to work this morning. This afternoon we had a chance of servere weather but the storms formed North and East of the DFW area and hit places like Paris with heavy rain, hail and a wall cloud but no tornados. Here the sun came out and by noon and we hit a high in the upper 80s.

As we get closer to Memorial Day the temperautemperature will top out in the 90s. Summer in North Texas is hot and dry. The Dallas Ft. Worth area is on the same latitude as the Sahara Desert.:-)

      Bob,
We had the mid 60’s and the day was warm and bright. IT made me forget about all that rain for a while.

If we ever get a 90˚ day, it will be in August. Last year I think we had a couple. That high a temp is unusual even at the high point of the summer.

      I’ll take days like today!

Oh, phooey on your chenille robe and slippers! You still rock!! My weekly routine is the sorting of the pills. Some in the clear box for AM, others in the dark box for PM. Other than a couple of cardio-drugs, all the others are just for the “numbers”. Tyranny of the numbers.

Finally sunny here in northern NY. Mild winter, but so long.

      Thank, Jay

I take mine at night. Three are for my A-Fib, one for thyroid and several more for a variety of ailments which come with getting older. My back too is well represented in the pill case.

I can see us answering a survey on how we spend our time. Sorting pills would be right behind taking naps!

Yesterday was beyond gorgeous. Today is the same. It is so peaceful I can hear the birds singing from right outside my back door. They are competing with Gracie’s snoring from her crate, her favorite nap spot.

I’ll sit on the deck a while today!
