I am feeling better but my MAC has caught my illness. I was installing El Capitan and all was going well or so I thought. The machine is now stalled on the screen with an apple and and an unmoving progress bar. I let it go all night, but it was stil the same this morning. I fear I am being mocked. Needless to say, I have no access to my files, and typing on this iPad would drive me into madness. Coffee has been crushed by the machine at least for today.

I am going to do some errands then I will come back and hope to find a solution.

Wish me luck!

I do hope it has fixed itself by the time You’re back home! My computer starts almost every time by saying there’s a serious problem with the start up menue and I need to log out and log on again so the computer can fix it. The repairs are rather short lived since I need to do this so often πŸ™‚

      Christer,
No such luck! It has developed a new problem which I’m going to have to research. The MAC has peculiarities.

You may have to restart in recovery mode. Good luck.

    Gnu,
Okay, it looks as if I’m going to see this one. That was excellent.

The Apple site says your computer has to be p0st 2007 and have a minimum of 8 G of RAM.
