it was all changing. It was no longer The Supremes, it was now Diana Ross and The Supremes. Florence Ballard was about to get fired
Still it was a Holland-Dozier-Holland composition recorded in Studio A at Hitsville in Detroit

I have always been a Supremes fan, but I didn’t know who wrote this or where it was recorded.
I hadn’t heard this song in forever, but I still knew al the words. They were remarkable!

i used to turn on to ‘china beach’ just to hear this song…much like i’d catch the opening for ‘goldfinger’…just to hear ms bassey…

Wow, I’m with you on both songs and China beach. Ms Bassey blew me away with that song, no title song better than Goldfinger song in that Bassey way.
