that’s me! I not only sat too close to the TV but I always sat with my legs in a W and not cross legged. My mother swore that I would go blind from the TV and my legs would not grow correctly. BTW I can’t sit cross legged to this dsy.

Bob,
My brother used to sit just like you did, with his legs forming a W. He didn’t grow up blind or physically impaired either.
I think mothers believed the blindness bit-TV was still young in those days.
