“It’s true, I’ve become one of those grumpy older women.”

Enough, enough I screamed when I woke up. I could see the snow falling. I am at the I can’t take it anymore stage. The weather man said 1-3 inches then he added not a big deal. Sadly he’s right. This is a mere dusting compared to the feet of snow we have on the ground. At 24˚ the day feels warm, not shorts and flip flops warm, but far warmer than it has been. I have to go out today. I’ll bring my trusty broom and sweep my way clear to the car.

My spirit is joyless today. Resigned and jaded describe me best right now. Yesterday there was sun and blue sky. That sun was exactly what I needed. I had to shade my eyes. How wonderful that was. The bright spot this morning is I did get my papers. She threw them right by my car where it was plowed. The front page, as expected, was filled with snow horror stories. The T will take a month to get back to full service. A number of roofs have fallen in under the weight of the snow. The piles on the sides of the roads are over 6 feet, some even as tall as 7. More snow is coming Saturday. I suppose I should be thrilled with the reprieve of a few snowless days until then, but I just can’t conjure good feelings when it’s still snowing.

My sister in Colorado has stopped sunning herself. The 70˚ weather has been replaced by 10 inches of snow. She won’t get any sympathy from me.

Grumpy is about the best I can do today.

Your winter reminds of the ones we had a few years ago but ours started in October and the last snow melted away in late April. I had well over a yard of snow those winters 🙂 Thankfully my roof is so steep that the snow never stayed there for any longer period of time,

I do hope Yours will melt away quickly though, I wouldn’t want anyone to have a long and cold winter with lots of snow. The sun helps when it shows though but how often does that happen 🙂 🙂

Still way much warmer than normal here, I guess my peach tree and walnut will make this winter too 🙂

    Have a great day!

      Christer,
The snow has finally just about stopped. It went all day. Luckily, though, there wasn’t a huge amount of it. I could drive my car right through what hd accumulated. The main roads were still wet and slushy. Few cars were out on the road. I loved doing errands as there were few people in the stores.

We are in a deep freeze so I don’t see this melting any time soon. The sun just shines but isn’t warm.

It is far colder than it has been in years.
      Have a warm evening.

    Hi Kat,
I don’t want to hear about any more snow. It was supposed to be snowing today and it is sort of. I can’t tell unless I go outside. The sun is shining through the clouds and it’s rather bright but snowflakes are drifting down.
I join you in grumpiness. There is nothing that will ungrumpy me now except NO MORE SNOW!

    Enjoy the day.

      Hi Caryn,
No sun here, but the snow has finally stopped. I was able to drive in it so I won’t complain all that much.

I’m still grumpy, and now I’m going to take a nap.

      Have a nice evening!

Sounds like ‘grumpy’ should be good enough.

No snow flurries this morning but rain is falling this evening after a sunny day. Who knows what tomorrow morning will bring, hopefully the weatherman will have some idea on the news tonight. I can’t believe Denver went from 70 to ten inches of snow in just a couple of days. What a very strange winter this has been. Have you thought that you have been transported magically to Greenland. 🙂

      Bob,
I was thinking we have been transported an alternative universe with no weather patterns or rules.

My sister had been sunning herself and now she’s bundled. We got 5 inches today and now we have flurries. Will it ever end?

I keep looking for Santa and his elves!
