Forever Young: Joan Baez

This is one of those songs which has many versions I really like. Peter, Paul and Mary sing it on their Reunion album, and it is almost haunting. I love the Dylan and Rod Stewart isn’t too bad either. I went with Joan simply because I haven’t played her often enough.

    Kat,

I rather doubt that Joan will miss the royalties, but I do enjoy her music, too.

Huh. This is Bob’s song about a little Bob and there are a couple of versions kicking around from Planet Waves and Biograph.

Wow, the Daily Telegraph gave “Shadows in the Night” a 5/5 star review.

Dylan sings Sinatra? It shouldn’t work but Shadows In The Night is quite gorgeous, the sound of an old man picking over memories, lost loves, regrets, triumphs and fading hopes amid an ambient tumble of haunting electric instrumentation. It is spooky, bittersweet, mesmerisingly moving and showcases the best singing from Dylan in 25 years.

    Are you listening im6 ?
