You know what a stickler I can be for accuracy. The title is actually Little BETTY Falling Star. Written by Burt Bacharach and Bob Hilliard, Gene Pitney had the original version in 1962, but the ever-tan George Hamilton also recorded it as well. The Cascades had hoped it would be a hit follow up to “Rhythm of the Rain.” It wasn’t. I like Gene’s version a lot:

I actually had the Little Betty Star Gene version, but I thought it was wrong and didn’t have the time to research it. It is now corrected!
