This one is not among the top ten or even top 25 holiday songs. If it weren’t for a few Jewish song writers the most popular Christmas songs wouldn’t exist.
Bob,
I play all the songs whether hits or not. I couldn’t even tell you which are on the top lists. Irving Berlin has written some of my favorites. White Christmas has nothing to do with religion, just winter and we all suffer through that. Most of the other songs in that article are also non-religious so being Jewish wasn’t a big issue in writing the songs.

My Dear Hedley,
We did not join the Andrews Sisters, and this song was not on my album. I will post it so you can hear my one note solo.

It’s a good thing they blew off Chaunkah songs.

Gnu,
I don’t think I’ve heard this before or at least not the introduction. It is a great song for his style and voice.

Thanks, Gnu
This is a great version of this song. It has always reminded me of the beaches of Ghana and the palm trees.
